Applications and scholarships for outstanding prospective students are processed on a rolling basis.
We are accepting applications for the Intake 2015-2017, which will start in Mid-October, 2015 and will process applications on a rolling basis.
Most of the information about our program can be found on our website www.shidler.hawaii.edu/vemba but for your convenience, we would still like to give you a summary of our program admission requirements and features:
1. Minimum requirements for admission:
A bachelor degree in any discipline with a good GPA
At least 3- 5 years of full time work experience
English proficiency (proved by IELTS – at least 5.5 or TOEFL – at least 500, or TOEFL iBT 61).
2. Documents required:
Application form (please complete the form attached if you would like to apply)
Official transcript (in which it also states that your bachelor degree was conferred)
2 letters of recommendation (use the form attached)
Resume (CV)
$100 application fee
Pass an admission interview during which you are also asked to write a short essay on a business related topic
3. Core curriculum: All the core courses must be taken in Vietnam. Please visit the link here http://shidler.hawaii.edu/vemba/core-curriculum for the list of 12 core courses, and http://shidler.hawaii.edu/vemba/electives to choose 7 elective courses. As mentioned, you can take up to 2 elective courses in Hawaii with the same tuition as it is in Vietnam. If you take more elective there, from the 3rd elective course your tuition is subject to the tuition in Hawaii campus (more than twice).
4. Tuition fees: $480 per credit for 21-month program of 48 credits (~23,040 for the whole program) and can be settled with different small installments.
5. Textbooks & other study materials: All original textbooks. Costs vary from $500 to $700 for the entire program.
6. Advanced English Courses: Those admitted students who have IELTS overall score from 5.0 to 6.5 (TOEFL iBT 61-99) will be required to take 2 advanced English modules ($1,000 additional tuition).

8. Class Schedule: In Vietnam, all courses are held in an intensive 9-day block format on weekends and evenings. There is approximately one class per month with about 3 weeks off between 2 courses.
